Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag would not start Cristiano Ronaldo in their Premier League opener against Brighton, according to to report.

The manager prefers to stick with the front three of Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford that starred during the pre-season tour.

Ronaldo,37, missed most of the games under the manager during the pre-season in Bangkok and Australia, he only played the opening 45 minutes against Rayo Vallecano and he seems to be off the pace with his fellow attackers.

“That is not enough for boss Erik ten Hag to start him in their Premier opener at Old Trafford to Brighton on Sunday,” according to an Exclusive report by The Sun as Per new Indian express

Ronaldo is unsettled at Manchester United, the Portuguese want out of the club this summer with Sporting Lisbon offering him an escape route after Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid dropped from the race to sign the veteran attacker.

The former Real Madrid ace was not pleased with the Sunday clash against Rayo Vallecano and he had a touchline rift with his manager after the first half, he could not make a return to the pitch in the second half, he was the only player subbed off in the first half.
