Victor Osimhen was unable to find the back of the net for Napoli in their Serie A clash against Fiorentina, the match ended in the 0-0 draw at the Artemio Franch Stadium on Sunday
Napoli was unable to get things done in a usual way in their match against Fiorentina on Sunday evening, the home team did enough to hold Napoli from scoring in the opening 45 minutes. Though Osimhen had a goal ruled offside with just two minutes to end the first half.
Fiorentina had three goal attempts with two on target while Napoli had foul goal attempts with none on target.
Amir Rrahmani had a great chance to put Napoli ahead but his effort went narrowly off the bar, minutes after Hirving Lozano unleashed a powerful header that also went off the target narrowly.
Fiorentina also troubled the visitors Antonin Barak blasted a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper but he failed to capitalise on the chance.
Manager Luciano Spalleti replaced Osimhen in the 78th minute and brought in Giovanni Simeone to replace the Nigerian attacker.
The draw ends Napoli’s unbeaten runs after winning their two opening games, Spalleti’s men now top the Serie A table on goal difference.
Fiorentina will be away to Udinese in their next match while Napoli will host Lecce in their next Serie A clash.
