Thomas Tuchel was sacked by the new owner Todd Boehly after Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.
The 49-year-old German tactician joined the Blues on 26 January 2021 after signing an 18-month contract with the Premier League side by replacing Frank Lampard.

Tuchel refused to sign Cristiano Ronaldo
One of the many issues was conflicts over signings, specifically Cristiano Ronaldo. Chelsea’s new owner needed to sign a former Real Madrid forward but Tuchel didn’t approve.
However, Boehly and Eghbali wanted an explanation as to why Tuchel grew frustrated as he felt too much time was being wasted on Portugal internationals when signing defenders should have been the priority.
