Former Flying Eagles defender Marvin Ekpiteta has been named Blackpool’s Player of the Season for 2021-2022 according to the club’s official website.
The 26-year-old Nigerian star has been a vital figure for the EFL Championship side after making scoring five goals and one assist plus 12 clean sheets in 41 appearances across all competitions this term.

Ekpiteta was presented with the double award after he got the most votes from his club teammate and fans for the Players’ Player of the Season and Blackpool Player of the campaign.

Ekpiteta was compensated with another new deal in March 2022, keeping him at Bloomfield Road for the rest of the 2023-2024 season.
