Former Manchester City star Leroy Sane rescue Bayern Munich after goalkeeper Yann Sommer makes 19 record saves during a 1-1 score draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga encounter at Allianz Arena.
African Football of the Year Sadio Mane had two goals disallowed for offside for the Bavarian.
Monchengladbach went ahead in the 43rd minute with their only shot of the first half when Marcus Thuram ran through from the halfway line after a Dayot Upamecano mistake to slot in past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer for his sixth goal in all competitions
Bayern Munich came into the clash on the back of a 7-0 hammering of VfL Bochum which made it three wins in their opening three games of the campaign but they struggled at times to find a way past Swiss keeper Sommer in goal.
However, Premier League winner Sane finally scored into the bottom corner in the 83rd minute after a through pass from Nigerian descent Jamal Musiala.
Sommer denied Benjamin Pavard in an injury-time winner that was the Swiss keeper’s 19th record save of the game bettering Alexander Schwolow’s previous mark of 14 for Hertha Berlin against the same opposition in January this year, to deny Bayern the win.
Both Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach remain unbeaten after four games this season.
