Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has made a laughable c; claims about his career despite sparingly appearance in the last two seasons for both Real Madrid and the Ligue 1 Champions.
Ramos was released on a free transfer to join PSG after seeing out his contract at Real Madrid, the 36-year-old defender has endured a terrible time on the sidelines and injuries have prevented the former Real Madrid captain from performing at the top level in the past two seasons.
In an interview with former French footballer Ludovic Giuly, who is now working for Amazon Prime France, Ramos made clear that he believes he still has it in him to keep playing at the top level.
“Between four or five more years at a high level,” Ramos said when asked how long he thinks he has left in his career.
“And then, another experience. Here in Paris, I have two years [on my contract].
“We’ll try to make it three; one more. Then we’ll see. As long as my physique holds up, I think my head is very well focused.”
Reports have it that Paris Saint-Germain is considering cancelling out his contract at the end of the current campaign, the signing of the combative defender has not gone as planned.
Ramos enjoyed a trophy-laden career at Real Madrid and the Spanish national team where he performed at the top level, he has failed to attain such height in the past few seasons, he mainly plays as a substitute at PSG and has been overlooked by the national team manager Luis Enrique over time.
