Bayern Munich and Inter Milan were set up in an attacking mode, with Bayern Munich getting the best of the home team thanks to Sane who broke the deadlock in the 25th minute.
Both teams created great chances with Bayern Munich having nine shots on goal from the 14 attempts created while Inter Milan created five chances and had just a shot on goal.
Bayern Munich maintained the lone goal in the opening 45 minutes.
