Japan’s coach Futoshi Ikeda has named West Ham United duo of Risa Shimizu and Honoka Hayashi and Roma defensive stalwart Moeka Minam in 25 players sqaud for Super Falcons clash.

Ikeda announced 25 players for the match scheduled for Thursday, October 6, at Noevir Stadium in Kobe.

Risa Shimizu and Honoka Hayashi, a West Ham United combo, were among the squad’s foreign-based players.

Moeka Minami, a defensive stalwart for Roma of Italy, Fuka Nagano, a player for the Urawa Reds Ladies, and Hana Takahashi were also named to the team.

The meeting will be the fourth clash between the two nations.

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the Super Falcons defeated Japan 1-0 in their first-ever matchup.

The Nadeshiko won both of its back-to-back friendlies in 2013 by scores of 2-0.

Super Falcons have lost their last four games, while Japan has gone undefeated in their previous six foreign games across all competitions.
