Barcelona is monitoring the situation of the Chelsea midfielder as the Camp Nou outfit aims to make a move when the winter transfer window opens, according to a report in Marca as per The Sun.
Barcelona was interested in the signing of three Chelsea players during the summer transfer window with the likes of Marcos Alonso Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen all linked with a move to Camp Nou but it was just two of the three players that ended at Camp Nou with Azpilicueta remaining at the Stamford Bridge after the Premier League team agreed to his terms.

It is reported that the 30-year-old, whose contract ends in 2023, could be sold in January or leave Chelsea on a free transfer during the summer.
