Real Madrid will miss the service of a few players when they face Barcelona in the El-Clasico this weekend at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid will be without Eder Militao after the defender suffered a muscle contraction injury and will miss the clash against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League and La Liga clash against Barcelona.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti provided some updates about the injury but appeared to be coy about releasing details on the injury to the Brazilian ace.
“I still don’t know who will play vs Shakhtar! Militao has muscle contraction. Whoever plays in El Clasico, they will be good defenders,” he said (h/t Barça Universal) when asked about the defenders that will form the Real Madrid backline in El Clasico.
Militao was the scorer of the lone goal against Getafe and also ensured Real Madrid kept a clean sheet for the first time this season in La Liga.
Ancelotti could deploy David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger at the backline in the clash against Barcelona.
