Real Madrid is massively hit with injury worries following the injury to Karim Benzema, Eder Militao, and Alvaro Odriozola and it has been confirmed that another first-team player will join the list of casualties at Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid has confirmed that Lucas Vazquez has suffered an injury to his right thigh and will consequently be ruled out for some time.

The statement reads “Following tests carried out on our player Lucas Vázquez by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the gracilis muscle of the right thigh. His recovery will continue to be assessed,” the 14-time Champions League winner’s.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will be without Benzema and Militao, both of whom are also sidelined through injury for the next clash against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Vazquez, 31, has been deployed as a defender, wing-back and forward under Ancelotti this season and the Spanish international would be greatly missed by the manager and the players.

Vazquez was substituted in the 70th minute against Real Mallorca, he limped off and was replaced by Dani Carvajal with 20 minutes left to play against Javier Aguirre’s men on Sunday, Real Madrid won the clash 4-1 to return to the top of the la Liga summit.
