Oliver Giroud and Sandro Tonali helped AC Milan to fight back to earn a 2-1 win over Lazio in the Serie A at the Olimpico Stadium on Sunday evening.
Lazio took the lead with Ciro Immobile breaking the deadlock in the 4th minute.
Oliver Giroud almost restored parity but his effort was crashed against the woodwork.
AC Milan was the better side in the opening 45 minutes with 55% ball possession, 12 goal attempts, and three shots on goal in the first half with Lazio four goal attempts and two shots on goal but Maurizio Sarri’s side takes theirs to the second half.
The second half was quite interesting with AC Milan levelling the scores with Giroud scoring for the visitors in the 50th minute of the clash.
AC Milan dominated the second half as the Serie A leaders pushed for a win in a bid to have a comfortable lead on the Serie A table but Lazio remained tactically sound to thwart all the effort of Stefan Pioli’s men as the match ended 1-2 as AC Milan reclaim their top slot on the Serie A table.
Up next for AC Milan is the clash against Fiorentina at San Siro while Lazio will take a trip away to play Spezia.
