New Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi scores twice again in three days after Lens beat his club Lorient 5-2 in the Ligue 1 encounter at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old Nigeria international was brilliant for Lorient over the weekend, scoring a brace in their 2-1 victory over Clermont, and he looked to replicate that performance again.
Lens started the encounter very well after Florian Sotoca put the host upfront in the 24th minute before Wesley Said doubled the home team’s advantage four minutes later to make 2-0.
Moffi reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the 41st minute after Super Eagles striker showed great composure and pulled one back for Les Merlus just before halftime to give Lorient a lifeline.

The Calabar-born goal machine leveled the score to 2-2 five minutes after the restart of the second half when Django Outtara played a perfectly played a through pass to Moffi, who sent the ball into the bottom right of the net, leaving Samba Brice helpless in the Lens goal.
Abdul Samed put Lens upfront once again in the midweek Ligue 1 encounter before Sotoca, and Lois Openda ensured maximum point for Franck Haise’s men as Lorient’s unbeaten in the league this season comes to end.
Lens remains in second place with 13 points from five games, while Lorient sits inthe the seventh spot with seven points but Moffi has now scored four Ligue 1 goals of the season.
