Midtjylland defeated Lazio 5-1 in their Europa League on Thursday evening as the Danish team humbled the Italian team in the second match of Group F.

Midtjylland broke the deadlock in the 26th minute of the clash following a nice assist from Evander to Paulinho who made no mistake to slot it into the net and just two minutes late the home team made it 2-0 with Sory Kaba’s great precision inside the box to get the second goal.

Lazio showed some resistance before the end of the first half but it was the host that dominated the first 45 minutes.

Midtjylland was awarded a penalty kick following Danillo Cataldi’s rough change on Nikola Dabanovic and Evander sent to ball to the bottom of the post from the spot to make it 3-0 in the 52nd minute.

Lazio fought back with Sergej Milinkovic to make it 3-1, thanks to a beautiful assist from Ciro Immobile in the 57th minute of the clash.

Midtjylland was awarded another penalty kick but this time Ivan Provedel pulled off a great save to deny Evander but Gustav Isaksen was fast enough to follow up the bound and score from a close range to make it 4-1 in the 67th minute of the clash.

Erik Sviatchenko was set up by Evander to make it 5-1 for the host with the visitors clueless on the pitch as Midtjylland find the back of the net with ease.
The match ended in favour of the home team 5-1 against Lazio.
