Neymar scores a wonderful goal after a magnificent assist from Lionel Messi during PSG’s 1-0 win over Brest in the Ligue 1 encounter at Le Parc des Princes on Saturday evening.

The capital club understandably did not have the ruthless edge they showed against Juventus in midweek.

PSG took the lead at the half-hour mark when Messi’s delightful ball over the top was brought down by Neymar on his right foot and then immediately dispatched home with his left as the Brazilian scored his eighth goal of the season.

Kylian Mbappe taught he has doubled his side’s lead before the break but the goals were choked off due to an offside decision and then Messi headed the speedster’s cross against the post.

Former Leicester striker Islam Slimani had the chance to level the scores for Brest when France defender Presenel Kimpembe brought down Noah Fadiga in the penalty box.

But the Algerian striker missed the spot kick after the Italian goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma save the spot kick to preserve the lead.

PSG hang on in the end and come away with the three points and  clinch their sixth win in seven league matches and the French club will next get set to take on Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday in their second Champions League group.
