Reactions trail as Super Falcons star Gift Monday joined the Nigeria contingent who ply their trade in Spain like Asisat Oshoala at Barcelona, Rasheed Ajibade at Atletico Madrid, Rita Chikwelu at Levente, Toni Payne at Sevilla, and Osinachi Ohale at Deportivo Alaves.
The 20-year-old striker inspired Bayelsa Queens to win the 2021–22 Nigeria Women Premier League title and also finished the season’s top scorer and MVP winner.
However, after months of speculation surrounding her future, Super Falcons star Monday has now reportedly been signed by Spanish club UDG Tenerife.

Monday follows the footsteps of arguably the two biggest Super Falcons stars Oshoala and Ajibade in finding their way from FC Robo Queens to the Spanish top flight.
The Nigerian international started her career with COD United Amazons before she joined FC Robo Queen and Bayelsa Queens.
Monday would look to help her new team improve on their fifth-place finish in the league last season as the new Laliga Femini season kicks off on the 11th of September.
