Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has resigned to losing Casemiro to Manchester United and he is already planning life after the Brazilian midfielder.

Casemiro moved to Premier League where he would join forces with Erik ten Hag’s men at Old Trafford and his replacement has already been lined up at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti has already placed hope on his new signing Aurelien Tchouameni, he joined from AS Monaco this summer and he has already gained the trust of his manager to take on bigger roles at Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona set to sign Argentine star

“[Tchouameni] is strong in the air, he has a good shot, he’s forceful, he can get into the opposition’s box. It’s clear that I’m not going to tell him to play like Casemiro. We have to try to take advantage of his shot.”

The Italian coach also revealed that he had only heard rumours about Manchester United’s interest up until Thursday when he was informed that Casemiro could depart the club.

“I hear and read rumours sometimes, but sometimes you don’t pay attention to what’s going on,” Ancelotti declared.

“Yesterday I realised that it could happen. Real Madrid’s plans don’t change. [We want to] fight and compete in all competitions. I am sure we will do well with and without Casemiro, everyone recognising the importance of this player and the affection we have for the person.”

The French midfielder could start along with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in their trip to Balaidos to face Celta Vigo.
