Barcelona is back to the second spot on the La Liga table following their 0-1 win against Real Sociedad on Thursday evening at the San Sebastian stadium, thanks to the lone goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Barcelona drew the first blood with an early goal with a header from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who broke the deadlock in the 11th minute of the encounter.
Real Sociedad almost got the equaliser by Alexander Isak couldn’t get the final touch to put the ball at the back of the net.
The first half was clearly dominated by Barcelona with the away team boasting of 10 shots on goal as against Real Sociedad’s three, Barcelona had just a shot on goal while Real Sociedad had two in the opening 45 minutes.
Real Sociedad was a different team in the second half with the home team dominating the play and pressuring Barcelona to make some forced substitutions with Ronald Araujo and Dani Alves forced off.
Barcelona will play their outstanding game against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou while Real Sociedad will host Real Sociedad a week later.
