Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has agreed on a personal term with Barcelona, according to the report emanating from Spain.

The report in Spanish publication Sport claimed that Bernardo Silva is close to securing a move to the La Liga giants this summer.

Silva has reached a personal agreement with the Camp Nou outfit, the only obstacle is for Barcelona to convince Manchester City to strike a deal with the Catalan club.

The Portuguese international has been an important player under manager Pep Guardiola ever since the departure of David Silva to Real Sociedad, Silva, 27, scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 50 appearances across all competitions last season.

The former AS Monaco star fancies a move to Camp Nou with Barcelona keen on his signature, the midfielder was offered to Real Madrid and Barcelona but it seems his preferred option is Barcelona with Manchester City unwilling to listen to offers for their midfield maestro.

Barcelona view Silva as an ideal replacement for Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong, who is keen on a, move to Old Trafford this summer.

Barcelona need to convince Manchester City to part ways with the midfielder who is reported to have agreed on a personal term with the Catalonia giants, meanwhile, Lucas Paqueta is on the radar of the Etihad outfit this summer.

Barcelona has already secured the services of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Koundé
and Franck Kessié this summer and might still add more before the end of the transfer period this summer.
