Lionel Messi is willing to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign with many expecting him to make a return to Camp Nou when he leaves the Ligue 1 Champions.

Messi’s contract would expire at the end of the current campaign with Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is keen on having him back to the club.

Messi is gradually getting used to life in Ligue 1 and this season he has been involved in 14 goals in 11 competitive matches so far this campaign.

The Argentine attacker does not want to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes beyond this season, as per Marba. But the journalist suggests the Argentine will not return to Camp Nou if Gerard Pique is still a part of the team.

Messi and Pique have not been on good terms and their relationship has gone sour during the last stages of his spell at Barcelona. The two were not even in talking terms at one point various reports have suggested.

Pique would have to leave if the club want Messi to return to Camp Nou as per Marba, There are reports of the defender potentially joining Atletico Madrid in January, but Barça may decide on his future only after the end of the season.
