Olivier Giroud’s penalty secures a vital away win for 10-man AC Milan following their 2-1 hard-fought victory over Sampdoria in the Serie A encounter at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Saturday night.

Rafael Leao was at the heart of everything AC Milan start the counter before providing a through ball to Giroud who turn it back and square it to Charles de Ketelaere missed the ball, but full-back Junior Messias arrived to put away the chance six minutes into the clash.

De Ketelaere taught to have double Sefeno Poli’s men in the 21st minute after the nod into an empty net but the goal was disallowed by VAR DUE TO an offside in the build-up.

AC Milan was reduced to 10 men after Leao who had already been booked miss his bicycle kick and kicked Sampdoria defender Alex Ferrari in the head.

Some minutes later the host equalise through Filip Djuricic before Giroud notched the winner from a spot kick in the 67th minute to score his third goal of the season.

The victory sees AC Milan extended their unbeaten run to 22 league matches, still 36 short of their record of 58 games without defeat.
