Marcelo Brozovic, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez scored a goal each against Spezia to ensure the Italian Champions regain the top of the Serie A table following their 1-3 win over Spezia on Friday evening.
Spezia had the opening chance of the game but Emmanuel Gyasi messed up the opportunity to put the home team ahead the attacker was left with one on one situation against Samir Handanovic but he was denied by the Inter Milan captain in the early minute of the game.
Inter Milan broke the deadlock in the 31st minute following a good show of alertness from Marcelo Brozovic to put the Serie A defending Champions ahead.
Inter Milan scored the second goal of the evening by substitute Lautaro Martinez in the 73rd minute.
The Argentine attacker was just at the right time to slot the ball into the net after a melee in the box, he was thrown in from the bench to make a difference for the visiting team to make it 0-2.
Spezia could not go down without a fight, Salvador Ferrer’s pass to Guilio Maggiore resulted in a goal as the midfielder unleashed a powerful shot which is beyond the reach of Handanovic to make it 1-2.
Alexis Sanchez scored the third goal for Inter Milan in the additional minute to make it 1-3.
Up next for Inter Milan is the clash against AS Roma at San Siro while Spezia will take a trip to Turin to face Torino.
