Super Eagles forward Anayo Iwuala has been sent on a season-long loan to Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 champions CR Belouizdad from Esperance. according to the club’s social media handle.
The 23-year-old Nigeria international featured 30 times and scored three goals in all competitions after helping the Tunisian giant clinch Super Cup with the former Enyimba man banging the only goal of the game.
Iwuala has agreed personal term with CR Belouizdad after Algerian club have reached agreement with Esperance to keep the Super Eagles winger until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
CR Belouizdad confirmed the signing of Iwuala via their official Facebook after they shared the news social media platform.
Iwuala made his Super Eagles debut under Gernot Rohr after coming off the bench in 1-0 win over Republic of Benin in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier before the speedy winger earned more four caps to his his name, the last of which came in an international friendly against Mexico on July 4, 2021.
CR Belouizdad are competing in the CAF Champions League preliminary round by virtue of winning last season’s Algerian topflight.
The versatile Iwuala who is capable of playing on the left and right wings, attacking midfield and as a striker started his career at Kada City before spell at Delta Warriors, Enyimba and Esperance.
