Super Eagles versatile Shehu Abdullahi is excited after joining 26-time Bulgarian Champions PFC Levski Sofia as a free agent.

The 29-year-old Nigeria international penned a one-year contract that is valid till the end of the 2022-2023 season with a never-relegated European club since ending his two years association with Omonia Nicosia.

Abdullahi has been a free agent and unattached in the last three months after winning the Cypriot league title and Super Cup in his first season at the club before helping Omonia Nicosia to clinch Cyprus Cup in his final season at GSP Stadium.

Former Kano Pillars star took his social media handle to express joy and happiness for teaming up with PFC Levski Sofia.

One of the biggest clubs in Bulgaria is Levski Sofia, which has participated in the Champions League in the past and the side have won 72 trophies, including 26 national league championships.

Abdullahi started his career with Plateau United before a spell at Kano Pillars, Qadsia, União da Madeira, Anorthosis, Bursaspor, and Omonia Nicosia.

Levski Sofia are currently in ninth place, having accrued a total of 15 points from seven games but the Super Eagles star will be keen to make his debut against CSKA Sofia on Sunday afternoon.
