Super Eagles left-back Calvin Bassey has reacted for the first time after wining Rangers Men;s Young Player of the Year.

The 22-year-old defender has been an outstanding performer for the Scottish Premier League defending champions this season after forcing his way into the starting lineup under two different managers Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Bassey has featured 44 times for Rangers in all competitions and provide five assist has taken his Instagram handle to reacts after claming the award on Sunday night.

The versatile star becomes second Nigerian player to scoop Rangers’ Young POTY after his fellow Super Eagles attacking midfeilder Joe Aribo won the award for the 2019-2020 season.

Bassey will now turn his attention to Europa League semi-final first leg clash with Bundesliga giant RB Lipzig on Thursday night.
