Super Eagles trio of Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey have helped Rangers to reach the 2022 Scottish Cup Final after a 2-1 comeback win over arch-rival Celtic at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men are gunning for a treble this season after reaching the Europa League semi-final in midweek after a 2-1 win (3-2 aggregate) over Sporting Braga in extra time.

Rangers are also in the race for the Scottish Premier League title despite being six points behind leaders Celtic.

The Light Blues were behind in the 64 minutes of the encounter after Greg Taylor smashed home Callum William McGregor’s pass.

However, Scott Arfield levelled in the 78th minute of the game and force extra time for the Rangers for the second time in four days.

Rangers came agonisingly close to the winner after club skipper Tavernier’s angled shot came off the post and extra time substitute Zambian star Fashion Sakala’s acrobatic effort from the rebound bounced off the crossbar.

Super Eagles defender Bassey stormed down the left wing and Sakala showed more determination than Starfelt to stab home five minutes of the 120 remainings.
