The season is gradually taking its shape with various teams prepared to start from the go and some starting slowly, most teams have started to identify their strength and weakness after just a few games.

Real Madrid is the only team to maintain a 100% record to the start of the current campaign and that is the best start among all top European sides having won all their four games in a roll, starting with the UEFA Super Cup win over the Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.

Real Madrid want to repeat the feat of 2008 which is to defend the La Liga title this season, Carlo Ancelotti’s men are on course and they have shown a good team spirit in the victory against Almeria, Celta Vigo and Espanyol with all being away games.

No Champions League team in Europe maintain such a record after four games as at this point of the season, in the domestic scene Real Madrid main two points ahead of their main rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, who have dropped points against Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal respectively.

Arsenal and Real Betis maintained 100% record to the start of the league but both are not in the Champions League, Real Madrid has a date with Real Betis this weekend at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday in a bid to vie for the sole leader of the La Liga table.
