Unwanted Manchester United left-back Alex Telles is set for a loan move to La Liga outfit Sevilla.
The 29-year-old Brazilian switched to Old Trafford from the Portuguese side FC Porto for €20m on deadline day in October 2020 and featured 29 times across all competitions last season under the tutelage of Ralf Rangnick.
Telles have now fallen in the pecking order since the of Tyrell Malacia from Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord as well as the return to fitness of England international Luke Shaw.
Former Galatasaray man has previously been linked with a return to Estádio do Dragão where he spend five season and lift Primeira Liga, Taça de Portugal and Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.
However, TNT Sports claim that Manchester United and Sevilla have reached an agreement to take the left-back on a season-long loan.
The report adds that minor details will be sorted out before he jets to Spain to undergo his medical and the move could be announced before La Liga starts next Friday.
Sevilla have seemingly identified Telles as a replacement for Swedish left-back Ludwig Augustinsson, who was allowed to join Aston Villa on loan earlier in the window.
The Brazilian is expected to operate in his natural left-back role and has a chance to prove his worth for a European contender.
Telles won’t risk his FIFA World Cup place after he was recalled to the national team in January after a 14-month absence.
Former Juventude and Gremio defender is contracted to Manchester United until 2024 made exactly 50 appearances in all competitions and scored one goal for the 20th-time Premier League champion across two seasons.
Telles will become Julen Lopetegui’s second signing of the summer after center-back Marcao joined from Galatasaray following the high-profile departures of Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde.
