Former Golden Eaglet striker Yusuf Otubanjo has won the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Week Award.
The 30-year-old Ijebu-ode-born star was a member of the 2009 Golden Eaglets squad and has been named on a four-man shortlist.
Otubanjo scored a stunning goal as the Armenian club, FC Pyunik defeated Slovan Bratislava 2-0 on Thursday night.
The well travel Nigeria player was scouted and signed by Atletico Madrid after the 2009 U-17 World Cup beat Álex Baena (Villarreal CF), Artem Dovbyk (Dnipro-1), and Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe (K.A.A Gent) for the award after the announce him as the winner of UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Week via their Twitter handle.

Otubanjo is the third Nigerian to be considered for the prize in the UEFA Europa Conference League for 2022–2023.
Super Eagles duo Samuel Chukwueze and Peter Olayinka were nominated last week but were unsuccessful in winning the prize.
Otubanjo in the 2009 U-17 World Cup where Nigeria came second after losing the final to Switzerland in Abuja.
Nigerian star joined Pyunik from Ararat-Armenia this summer will face Lithuanian club, Zalgiris in their next game in the Europa Confernece League.
Otubanjo started his career with Emmanuel Amunike Academy before a spell at Julius Berger, Gateway, Crown F.C, Atlético Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg, FC Pasching, Blau-Weiß Linz, MŠK Žilina, Rheindorf Altach, LASK and Ararat-Armenia.
