Barcelona manager Xavi Hernadez has not given up the hope to bring Lionel Messi back to Camp Nou with the Argentine attacker set to be out of contract at the end of the season.

Xavi is reportedly set to create a space for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner if he cares to return to Camp Nou as a player at the end of the season.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta shared the same dream and he has made it his greatest task to see Messi returns to Camp Nou for another season before he hangs his boots, following the manner he left the club two seasons ago.

Barcelona has been doing their underground work to bring back Messi with Laporta ready to make up for the last-time differences with the Argentine captain.

Gerard Romero, speaking to Carpetas FCB, claimed that Xavi wants Messi back at Barcelona next summer and will do everything possible to make the 35-year-old comfortable at the club should he make a comeback.

Xavi is currently underseeing Barcelona’s rebuilding structure for the future and the addition of Messi to the project would help in inputting some impacts on the team.

Messi is focusing on the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar and would make comments about his future when the World Cup is over with a return to Camp Nou highly possible with Xavi at the helm of affairs, Laporta is also in great support of the move.
